The Deoriatal Chopta Tungnath Chandrashila trek begins from a small village named, Sari located in the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand at a height of 6,601 Feet and it terminates at Chopta, which is a tiny settlement and is the gateway to Tungnath temple and Chandrashila peak (3998 meters). The difficulty level of this trek is easy and is recommended for novice trekkers as well as experienced ones

Brief Itinerary

DAY 1: DEVPRAYAG | CHOPTA ARRIVAL & ACCLIMATIZATION

Catch some tourist attractions on the way to Chopta.
Enjoy the beautiful valleys, fresh air and tall mountains on your long drive through the winding roads of the Himalayas towards Chopta.
Visit some famous tourist’s attractions like - Devprayag (Sangam of Bhagirathi and Alaknanda, Maa Dhari Devi Temple and Sri Nagar Dam on your way to Chopta.
Reach Chopta and check-in to your rooms / camps. The rest of the day is left for your leisure to rest and to wake-up fresh the next day.

DAY 2: TREK TO TUNGNATH & CHANDRASHILA

Wake up early & Witness the beautiful sunrise.
After breakfast start your trek to Tungnath.
Reach Tungnath & pay your respect at highest Shiva Temple
Start your journey to most astonished Chandrashila peak (if weather permits).
Come back to your stay by evening, have dinner and sleep overnight.

DAY 3: EXPLORE LOCAL, DEORIATAL TREK & DEPART FOR DELHI

Wake up early morning and have breakfast with mesmerising view.
Head to Sari Village (Starting point for DeoriaTal Trek).
Start your trek to astonishing DeoriaTal
Reach Deoriatal & enjoy the stunning view.
Trek back to Sari Village & Depart for Delhi with amazing trip memories.
Delhi arrival by next day morning 06:00AM (Tentatively)

How Tourchalehum is making your trek safe

Tourchalehum has always been at the forefront in bringing in new safety practices into Indian trekking. Microspikes for walking on snow were introduced by Tourchalehum Emergency bottled oxygen on all tracks was made mandatory by TrekonIndia. So was using pulse oximeters to test pulse and oxygen saturation levels. Radio as a safety communication device was introduced in treks by Tourchalehum . Though not every organisation follows these systems, I am happy to see many of our competing organisations adopting these practices (fairly quickly, I must admit!).

What kind of food does Tourchalehum provide?

Tourchalehum India provides Indian vegetarian food. Your typical meal will consist of roti (Indian bread),sabzi (vegetable), dal (lentils) and rice. Add to it a sumptuous dessert.

 We serve three meals a day – breakfast, lunch and dinner. Apart from that, you’ll get tea and snacks in the evening and a hot cup of soup before dinner. If you’re in for a long day of trekking, you’ll get a packed snack as well.

Our menu is designed after elaborate research on nutritional requirements for trekkers. We take the
exercise put in, the altitude gained and the weather you’ll face into consideration before putting each meal together. You’ll notice that every meal is nutritionally well-balanced with the right amount of carbs, protein, vitamins, fibre and calories.

IMPORTANT POINTS:

•  Minimum age of the rider for this tour should be 19 years.
• Minimum TRACKER required to start a tour is 10.
• The tour can be cancelled if, the riders are less than 10 in number, per group.
• If, any tracker wants to leave the tour in between then he has to pay the transportation cost from the leaving point till Dehradun.
• tracker must have proper gears for the tour or they will not be allowed to join the group.
